Dr. Sarah Sutton
B.D.S University of Birmingham
Dentist
Dr Sarah Sutton was born and raised in the UK. She graduated from the University of Birmingham, England in 1999 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Dr Sarah began her dental career in general family practice before gaining a coveted position in Community Dental Services. It was in this role that Dr Sarah developed her passion for treating children, including those with special needs and dental anxiety. She also gained extensive emotional and dental experience working with vulnerable adults, including drug and alcohol abusers, asylum seekers, homeless people, and special needs adults.
Dr Sarah and her family moved to Sydney in 2016 where she was fortunate to work in a general practice in the Hills district learning the Aussie ways and settling into life down under! Her passion for treating children brought Dr Sarah to Children’s Dentistry Castle Hill.
Dr Sarah is proud that she has both personal and professional experience in living and working with neurodivergent and special needs adults and children. She is open and honest about her own liver experiences and is keen to connect with families by sharing similar stories.
Dr Sarah is committed to continuing professional development, regularly attending conferences (and many, many online webinars during the lockdown!). She is a member of the Australian Dental Association and British Society for Disability and Oral Health.
Dr Sarah is married with two daughters, a dog and two cats. As a family the Suttons enjoy exploring new places both in Australia and overseas and love escape rooms- we have escaped from 30 rooms to date! Dr Sarah’s hobbies are reading and painting. She is an accomplished oboist and a qualified hairdresser.
